Jonathan Bonner’s most resent and notable productions include And Then There Were None (Lighting Designer) at the historic Footlight Club , A Children's Hour (Lighting Designer) as part of the 9th Annual African American Theater Festival, and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Lighting Designer) for the Nobles Theater Collective. Other prior productions include Intimate Apparel (Lighting Designer), Reckless (Lighting & Co-Scenic Designer), Love of the Nightingale (Scenic Design), On the Edge Theater Festival produced by The Theatre Offensive, the Rainbow Tribe Dance Company's Destinations (lighting designer), 12 Angry Jurors (lighting & set designer), and Alice (lighting designer) a collaboration between Emerson College and Roxbury Community College based on the Elizabeth Swados’ musical Alice In Concert. Jon’s Lighting Design for Alice was nominated for a 2002 IRNE Award (Independent Reviewers of New England). Other productions include the 2003 thru 2009 African American Theatre Festivals, Dreaming with an AIDS Patient (Lighting and Set Designer) and The Song of Jacob Zulu (Set and co-Lighting Designer).  

 

Jon is currently the Director of Technical Theatre/Design for Noble & Greenough School, located in Dedham, MA. The Nobles Theatre Collective produces 3 full length production during the academic year, visit www.nobles.edu for more information.

 

Jon is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he received both a B.S. in Design/ Technical Theatre and a B.S. in Information Studies and Technologies.
