Jonathan Bonner’s most resent and notable productions include Singin' in the Rain (Lighting Designer) at the historic Footlight Club and Zooman and the Sign (Lighting Designer) as part of the 8th Annual African American Theater Festival. Other prior productions include A Raisin in the Sun (lighting designer), One the Edge Theater Festival produced by The Theatre Offensive, the Rainbow Tribe Dance Company's Destinations (lighting designer), 12 Angry Jurors (lighting & set designer), and Alice (lighting designer) a collaboration between Emerson College and Roxbury Community College based on the Elizabeth Swados’ musical Alice In Concert. Jon’s Lighting Design for Alice was nominated for a 2002 IRNE Award (Independent Reviewers of New England). Other productions include both the 2003 thru 2008 African American Theatre Festivals, Dreaming with an AIDS Patient (Lighting and Set Designer) and The Song of Jacob Zulu (Set and co-Lighting Designer).
Jon is currently the Marketing/Performance Space Manager for the Roxbury Center for Arts at Hibernian Hall located in Roxbury, MA. Jon is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he received both a B.S. in Design/ Technical Theatre and a B.S. in Information Studies and Technologies.
